After a polaroid image has been captured on Type 559 film, begin the developement process...STOP after 15-20 seconds. Quickly seperate the negative from the print substrate gently. Place the negative face down onto a piece of dry watercolor paper. Cold pressed paper works best when you are first learning. Roll the negative with a rubber roller, which you can purchase at an art supply store. Roll the negative firmly on a hard surface. With the negative still attached to watercolor paper, place both onto warm water and float for approximately 2 minutes. The water should be around 160 degrees. This process helps tremendiously when it comes time to seperate the negative from the watercolor paper. Following the 2 minute float, remove the watercolor paper from the water and place on firm surface. Gently lift a corner of the negative and with a slow motion pull completely up and away until the negative has been removed. Your image will have now been transferred to the watercolor paper.
